Billy Osborn’s instant impact fired Hartpury Univeristy into the FA Vase semi-finals against Erith & Belvedere – and showed gaffer Martin Longworth what he had been missing.
Substitute Osborn was alive to the action, snaffling possession, jetting past Ali Mansaray and rounding exposed keeper Charlie Cottrell to find the empty net within 30 seconds of being thrust into the action.
The young frontrunner led the line superbly as the students belied their inexperience by managing the game effectively.
