YEOVIL Town made a winning start to their pre-seaon campaign, a stunning strike from Tom Knowles finally edging out a brave Stratford side.

The goal came ten minutes into the second half when his fierce drive flew past home keeper Liam O’Brien and into the top corner.
It was harsh on O’Brien, who had kept the Southern League Premier Central side in the game with a string of excellent saves, including one on the half-hour to deny striker Joe Quigley.
