WITHAM found themselves deeper in relegation trouble after two late goals saw them beaten at the Brentwood Arena.
Both sides had early chances before Alfie Hilton finished off a good move to give the Blues a 12th minute lead, but Johnny Ashman equalised in the 24th minute.
Albert Levett hit the Witham crossbar early in the second half and a speculative longrange effort by Tony Stokes was kept out by visiting keeper Luca Collins.
Michael Osei shot straight at Rob Budd in the Brentwood goal with ten minutes to go.
