ESTEEMED CLUB BACK FOR MOOR

MOOR Green – one of the biggest ‘lost’ names of Non League football – have been revived.
Moor Green FC were formed in 1901 by a group of cricket club members and played at The Moorlands in Hall Green, Birmingham from 1930 until their headquarters was destroyed by arson in January 2005.
The club merged with one-time local rivals Solihull Borough in 2007 to form Solihull Moors, now members of the National League.
Solihull College & University Centre’s football academy has now revived the name for their first team, and have been invited players to try out.
