WIRE EYEING CROWD BEST FOR THE NHS

WORKINGTON have launched an initiative with the aim of breaking their record attendance and to raise funds for the club and the National Health Service.
The ‘Stay Home Record’ will take place on Saturday May 30 where a virtual replay of the Wire’s iconic 1958 match against the Busby Babes of Manchester United will be shown via YouTube.
A crowd of 21,500 was inside Borough Park for the FA Cup third round clash just 33 days before many of the team tragically lost their lives in the Munich Air Disaster.
