PHIL BROWN says a time for reflection prompted him to make the decision to stand down as manager of Clitheroe this week.
Brown led the Blues from 18th in Northern North West division to an impressive sixth last term before the season was declared null and void.
But, just 30 games and less than a year in charge at Shawbridge, Brown, who is also the head of Myerscough College, opted to stand down - along with assistant Dave Mc- Cann - to concentrate on personal commitments.
