LEWIS SIMPER’S second-half strike gave Rangers victory in a typically tight battle between local rivals.
The first half saw little in the way of clear opportunities as defences dominated.
The visitors had the first chance in the 19th minute as the ever dangerous Alex Wall shifted the ball outside his defender to hit a shot from 20 yards that was beaten away by Dion Henry.
The best move of the first half came from the home side when the ball was cleared from a corner.
Good play by Jake Robinson and Jai Reason gave Joe Felix a chance to run...
