Stuart Jones steps down at Ashton & Backwell United

Jones, took over in May 2018 and led the Stags’ climb from 18th to fourth in the table before the two null-and-void campaigns.

FORMER Wednesday goalkeeper Stuart Jones has stepped down as manager of Ashton & Backwell United after three years with the Division One club.

Jones, took over in May 2018 and led the Stags’ climb from 18th to fourth in the table before the two null-and-void campaigns.

Jones told chairman Mike Thomas he needed a fresh challenge, and thanked him for the opportunity of managing the side.

Thanking him for “a fantastic three years in charge”, a club statement read. “We like to wish Stuart all the best for the future.”
