Despite not playing a competitive game since November, they somehow won seven FA Trophy games, knocked out six higher league sides, including National League King’s Lynn Town and Notts County in the semi-finals, and then came from a goal behind against National League North Hereford to win on the greatest day in the Urchins’ history.

CHARLIE RUFF was back building a loft conversion on Tuesday, Mickey Parcell was back at the nursery in Golders Green where he teaches PE.
“My boss texted me on Sunday night and said, ‘You’re too famous to come into work tomorrow’, which was quite nice,” 25-year-old defender Parcell laughs.
Liam Nash, who put Hornchurch 2-1 ahead at Wembley last Saturday, was still on cloud nine.
“It’s so hard to put into words,” he says, trying to describe the emotions and feelings that are still settling in.
