Southport snap up midfielder Charlie Munro

The 24-year-old becomes the first new addition of the summer for the National League North outfit, joining Liam Watson’s side from Warrington Town.

SOUTHPORT have signed midfielder Charlie Munro.

The 24-year-old becomes the first new addition of the summer for the National League North outfit, joining Liam Watson’s side from Warrington Town.

Munro started his career with Ashton Town before moving on to Ashton Athletic.

Watson told the club’s website: “Charlie is great on the ball and can make things happen, and a player I have monitored for some time. He is a great signing for the club and one I have high expectations of.”

Munro said: “This is a great opportunity for me, I will always give 100 per cent in the shirt in every game I play and I can’t wait for the season to start.”
