AFC Wulfrunians

THE West Midlands football community has paid tribute to AFC Wulfrunians’ secretary Keith Birch, who has died after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Birch was at the Midland Football League Premier club for a number of seasons and also saw service as secretary at Willenhall Town, Tipton Town, Gornal and Tividale.

Tividale secretary Leon Murray said he was deeply saddened by the news and that Birch was the person who encouraged him to get involved in football administration.

A minute’s silence was held before Wulfunians’ game at Heath Hayes.
