BARNSTAPLE claimed the bragging rights with victory over their local rivals.
The game took a long time to produce any goalscoring opportunities, with the first effort comning after 20 minutes, when Bideford’s Matt Buchan saw his effort saved.
It was not until over half an hour had passed before Barnstaple created an opening, when Rhys Thomas was denied.
Barnstaple took the lead with just eight minutes to go through Al Angel Joseph, before Tornado Bello doubled the lead in the last minute.
