THE battle between these two former Northern League rivals went the way of visitors Dunston at a watery Sam Smiths Sports Ground.
Lee Mason netted a brace for Dunston with veteran striker Paul Brayson giving Benfield hope when he pulled a goal back with five minutes remaining.
After a frantic start, it was the home side who enjoyed the better of the early exchanges, despite Dunston dominating possession.
