HONOURS were even as both sides found the net in the first half but were unable to ignite a second-half spark worthy of a winner.
Cheshunt’s Mo Camara & Taylor Mackenzie both went close early on as the Ambers threatened from setpieces.
Margate weathered the storm and led on 19 minutes when a loose ball by Cheshunt’s defence was picked off by Vance Bola who placed his shot just inside the post.
