■ MAXWELL Chimenes’s first-half double gave Newcastle Town their first points of the season at the expense of hosts Glossop North End.
The former Port Vale youngster made a dramatic return to Town colours with two composed finishes to end the visitors’ run of four defeats.
His first came on 13 minutes, Nathan Morley running the hard yards down the left before crossing for Chimenes to apply the finish.
