MACCLESFIELD say they will issue lifetime bans to any spectator involved in a mid-game brawl on Bank Holiday Monday.
Their fixture against Congleton attracted a crowd of 3,502 but the Silkmen’s 1-0 victory, which sent them top of the North West Counties League Premier, was marred by violence.
Fans clashed on the terraces and officers from Cheshire Constabulary are now working to identify those involved.
