GATE OPEN UP PLUCKY TANNERS IN THRILLER

MARGATE are still to taste defeat in this league campaign after a good win against a plucky Leatherhead side.
Despite the high scoring, Gate had to wait 34 minutes to lead when a Ben Greenhalgh cross was met by the long legs of Dan Thompson.
It took just a minute for the second to come, the lively James Bessey-Saldanha latching onto a poor back pass and drilled the ball home.
The Tanners’ Alexander Sami nearly nipped in after 47 minutes but Lewis Knight and Gatec keeper Pat Ohman thwarted him.
