FEISTY FLINT’S BATTLE IN CUP

DESPITE the heroics of goalkeeper Dan Field, and a goal from Luke Morgan, Penrhiwceiber’s bold bid to reach the last 16 of the JD Welsh Cup just fell short as they were beaten 3-1 by Flint Town United.
The JC Cymru Premier side found Field in brilliant form as he denied them for much of the first half before Alex Jones headed home from a corner in the second minute of added time before the break. If that was hard to take, it didn’t dent their ambition.
