LEWES were indebted to an excellent defensive effort which grabbed them a point despite going down to ten men.
Camilo Restrepo had the first effort on goal for the visitors but could only head over the bar on nine minutes. Ryan Lowe followed up with his own ballooned effort three minutes later as Wingate & Finchley kept on the early pressure. But the men in red continued to show incredible heart, putting in strong blocks to deny further efforts from Lowe and Ore Bello.
