HASHTAG UNITED took more vital steps towards the play-offs this week, with a solid victory over Whitehawk.
The Tags began brightly in Aveley, with Andronicos Georgiou playing in Toby Aromolaran in the tenth minute. He rounded keeper Joe Osaghae and saw a shot blocked on the line before the flag went up for offside.
Four minutes later, there were penalty appeals at both ends waved away, before Whitehawk opened the scoring.
Jordan Maguire-Drew was the scorer, moving past two defenders before slotting low past Jack Giddens.
