Tom’s Shots have a new hero in Rai

ALDERSHOT Town have given the town’s vibrant Nepalese community a homegrown hero to be proud of after signing exciting forward Kiban Rai.
The 20-year-old arrives at the EBB Stadium after making 30 appearances for League Two Newport County having become the first player of Nepalese descent to sign a professional contract in the EFL.
Rai made his senior debut for Newport at just 17 years old against Salford City in 2023 and last season played a part in Merthyr Town’s Southern Premier South winning season, while on an injury-hit loan spell.
