The Summer drew to a close and football returned for clubs at Steps 5 and 6 yesterday as ten leagues kicked off the new 2025-26 season.
Sherman Artmeladze entered his name in the history books as English football’s first goalscorer of the new season, scoring after just two minutes for Soul Tower Hamlets in a 5-2 Essex Senior League win at White Ensign on Friday night.
