AMBITOUS Chadderton have finally returned home after 12 months in exile while a £1.5million ground redevelopment took place.
Chaddy chairman Bob Sopel admitted it was financially challenging after they were forced to play all their home fixtures in 2024/25 season away after delays to the start of the project.
But retired travel agency owner Sopel, 76, says the pain was worthwhile as he gazed over the new-look Emplas Community North Stadium which has a new 3G artificial pitch which will be a game changer in terms of a revenue stream.
