ROB Ramshaw’s goal just after the hour saw Spennymoor Town into the first round proper of the FA Cup for the first time since 2016 as they overcame battling Billericay Town, from the Isthmian Premier Division.
Teenage sub keeper Ryan Johnson – making only his second senior appearance – also saved a penalty from Billericay’s Jack Evans late on to become Spennymoor’s unlikely hero on an afternoon of high drama at The Brewery Field.
