IN A week when their FA Cup hopes were dashed, Brackley Town finally enjoyed some cheer as they knocked cup kings Boreham Wood out of the Trophy on penalties after a dramatic draw.
These two National League rivals would have met in the third round of the FA Cup had Brackley beaten Burton Albion on Monday night.
As it was, it was Wood who struck first, on six minutes, when Lewis Richardson played in Zak Brunt to buried the ball past Cameron Gregory in the Saints goal.
