JAMIE HAS SUCCESS IN HIS SIGHTS

UPBEAT manager Jamie Tompkins believes his summer squad overhaul is the first step towards bringing the good times back at Hayes & Yeading United.

The former Ascot United boss took over in December and guided the west Londoners to a ninth-place finish in Isthmian South Central.
However, that’s a far cry from the early days when United – formed in 2007 – were regulars in Non-League’s top two tiers. And before the merger, both Hayes and Yeading were also used to operating in the upper echelons of the semi-pro game.
