■ DUNSTON advanced into the third qualifying round with a narrow win against local rivals, Morpeth Town
In the 12th minute, Ben Ramsey hit an effort at goal, but it cleared the crossbar.
JJ O’Donnell then stung the palms of Dan Langley after 18 minutes, but the shot-stopper saved his effort.
However, Dunston broke the deadlock just before the break, as Ramsey’s low cross was deflected in for an own goal by Josh Robson.
After 56 minutes, Jarrett Rivers broke in behind the Dunston defence, but his shot was blocked by Michael Pearson.
