UNBEATEN in the league this season and on a five-game winning run, Step 4 Portchester came into the cup tie full of confidence and with a clear game plan. But it was Step 2 Brackley who progressed through a late goal from sub Fin Roberts.
The Royals set up single-mindedly to take the tie to a replay and stuck resolutely to their task until Roberts struck on 82 minutes, firing in to beat keeper Kieran Magee at his near post.
