■HARLESTON bowed out of the FA Cup with their heads held high.
The Magpies were beaten but by no means disgraced, taking on opponents two steps higher on the Non-League ladder and giving a strong account of themselves throughout.
Adam Gusterson’s side showed plenty of character and spirit as Real Bedford started brightly, asking early questions of the hosts, for whom goalkeeper Alex Blowers was equal to everything thrown his way.
Gusterton was shown a red card on the touchline after 20 minutes and just four minutes later the visitors broke the deadlock. ...
