Speaking to Barnet's official club website, Still said, “We needed to bring another goalkeeper in. Mark (Cousins) has come in and supporters have seen in pre-season that he's a very, very good goalkeeper.
“We wanted someone under him, but do you go for an experienced one that can push him all the way or do you go for one that you think can grow.
“Well, we're fortunate enough to get Rihards, who has recently been at West Ham where I've seen lots of him. He's a Latvian youth international and when the opportunity came to get him, we pushed the button and I'm absolutely delighted.”
