Maidstone United have begun their summer rebuild after crashing out of the National League with the signing of centre back Lewis Knight.
The 26-year-old has put pen to paper on a one year deal after leaving National League South side St Albans City.
The commanding defender has plenty of experience in Non-League having previously represented the likes of East Thurrock United, Concord Rangers and Welling United
Speaking after signing on the dotted line on Friday afternoon, the 26-year-old told Maidstone’s official club website, “I’m delighted to get the move over the line and get it done nice and early ahead of next season.
I had a call from John Still who said he had come to watch me play and felt I would be a good fit for the club. I came and met him and Hakan and I liked what they had to say so I jumped at the opportunity to join the club.
I am an old school centre half but I like to try and play as well. It’s a dream come true to play full time football, and I feel I can only get better and improve myself as a player.
I’ll keep myself ticking over during the summer and am looking forward to coming back in July and showing everyone what I can offer”.
