Maidenhead United make their seventh summer signing

Maidenhead United’s preparations for the new season have continued at a brisk pace after the National League club made their have made their seventh summer signing with the capture of experienced centre-forward Jake Cassidy.
The 26-year-old was capped eight times by the Welsh Under 21 side during his youth and arrives at York Road having spent time with Maidstone United last season,.
Cassidy started his career in Wales with Llandudno Junction prior to joining Airbus UK. His prolific form in the Welsh leagues attracted the attentions of Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers, who he joined aged just 17.
During his time with Wolves the Welshman enjoyed loan spells in the Football League with the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Notts County and Southend United.
A permanent move to Oldham Athletic followed in the summer of 2015, before the striker went on to play for Guiseley, Hartlepool United and Maidstone.
Maidenhead were eventually successful in their battle to avoid relegation from the National League last season as they finished in 19th position, an impressive ten points above the drop zone.
