HARTLEPOOL United did their part of the job, but it wasn’t enough to book a play-off semi-final tie.
While Pools coasted to the easiest of victories over Weymouth, Stockport won 1-0 at Yeovil to clinch third place and guarantee a home semi-final.
It means fourth-place Hartlepool host seventh-placed Bromley in the Play-off Eliminators next Sunday as they chase a Football League return.
Pools lost at Bromley as recently as May 3, and the teams drew at Victoria Park back in October.
