Dover boss Andy Hessenthaler ready for toughest test yet

The vastly experienced Hessenthaler, 55, already produced one rescue mission when he returned for his second spell in charge three years ago with Dover marooned at the bottom with seven points from 15 games.

ANDY Hessenthaler isn’t expecting Dover Athletic to receive a warm reception at National League grounds this season – but the challenge of overcoming their points deduction is why he stayed.
The Whites will start on minus 12 when the campaign kicks off in August as punishment for not fulfilling fixtures earlier this year.
Chairman Jim Parmenter also has to foot a £40,000 fine as part of the sanctions which forced him to cut costs and return the club to a part-time model.
