BOREHAM WOOD kicked their season off in style as they brushed past Weymouth at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
The visitors took an early lead in emphatic style in the ninth minute.
A clearance from Weymouth gave possession away in midfield.
Kane Smith was closest to the ball and struck a first-time shot from more than 25 yards which sped through a crowded defence and past goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons’ outstretched left palm.
