Southend United boss Kevin Maher felt his side’s victory over FC Halifax Town was a perfect response to their midweek disappointment.
The Shrimpers suffered their first defeat of the season on Tuesday night, losing 3-2 at Wealdstone.
And Maher was delighted by the way Southend bounced back to pick up all three points at Roots Hall.
