New FC Halifax Town boss John McGrath says nobody can question his readiness to manage the Shaymen after a decade in the Non-League trenches.

The former Burton Albion midfielder, 46, was appointed on Wednesday following Adam Lakeland’s defection to Morecambe.
He spent eight years managing Step 3 Mickleover before joining Buxton in 2024, and has since achieved back-to-back play-off finishes with the National League North outfit.
