POPOV OFF THE MARK BUT CARDS FLUFF LINES

RELIEVED Hartlepool United boss Lee Clark had Chris Popov’s first goal for the club to thank for bringing an end to three consecutive defeats.
Pools had to wait until the 57th minute to find the breakthrough which proved enough to claim a third win of the season against Woking.
And it was Popov’s fortuitous strike that gave everyone at Victoria Park a much-needed lift after the frustrating run.
