Simon Grayson enjoyed his first win as Hartlepool United manager against Braintree Town and then challenged his players to deliver many more to bring the fans back to the Prestige Group Stadium.
There were plenty of positives on the pitch for Pools supporters after a new-look side displayed encouraging signs to claim the points.
A goal in each half earned Hartlepool the success over Braintree, who were brought back down to earth after starting the campaign with a 3-0 win over FC Halifax Town.
