Alex Newby is hoping to be the missing piece to help York City fulfil their EFL dream.

Newby, 29, has agreed to join the Minstermen after two successful seasons at Altrincham where he established himself as one of the National League’s most consistent performers.
Adam Hinshelwood’s York racked up 96 points to finish as runners-up last season, only to suffer a shock 3-0home defeat to Oldham Athletic in the play-off semi-final.
And attacking midfielder Newby believes he can provide the final piece to the jigsaw to help the Minstermen realise their EFL dream.
