BIRTHDAY boy Danny Newton scored his 20th goal of the season as Tamworth kept their play-off dream alive and inflicted more misery on struggling Gainsborough.
The Lambs started positively and Newton’s cross-shot shaved the woodwork while Reece Styche’s chip from inside his own half nearly caught Trinity keeper George Willis napping.
Ioan Evans headed wide for Trinity, but the Lambs were still pressing and Willis denied Stephan Morley, Styche and Ben Fox.
