ALFRETON picked up a vital win in the dogfight at the wrong end of the table, ending Brackley’s season-long unbeaten home record.
Uncharacteristic defensive mistakes cost Saints dear as their visitors converted each of their three first half chances.
Chris Sharp poked his side in front from close range as early as the second minute as Brackley failed to clear a deep cross.
Brendon Daniels doubled the advantage on the half hour, rolling his shot past Danny Lewis after a defensive blunder put the Reds’ top scorer through one-on-one.
