Dale hits 200 for in-form Spartans

BLYTH Spartans were unable to start the new year on home soil in the winning way that they had ended the previous one.
A hard-earned 2-1 win over York brought down the home curtain in 2018.
The first Croft Park clash of the new year saw Blyth take their unbeaten run up to 12 games.
A ninth win in that eye-catching run proved elusive however, despite talisman Robbie Dale scoring his 200th Blyth goal.
Dale’s landmark goal came on 37 minutes from a low free-kick after a handball from Reds keeper Sam Ramsbottom.
