Avenue progress thanks to Jake

BRADFORD Park Avenue picked up their first win of 2019 to give their play-off hopes a massive boost.
Jake Beesley’s firsthalf double sealed the three points as Chester’s miserable away form continued, this loss being their eighth in 16 games on their travels.
Avenue had the lead inside 40 seconds when a Lewis Knight cross appeared to drift out of play before finding Beesley at the far post who touched home from two yards after Chester had idly stood and waited for the referee to give a goalkick.
