COOK STEPS AWAY FROM TIGERS’ LAIR

MIKE COOK has stunned Gloucester City by stepping down as manager - on the day their game at Alfre- ton was postponed.
The 51-year-old took over in January from Chris Todd and steered the club to National League North safety.
Cook steered the Tigers to 13th in the table before his departure was announced yesterday lunchtime.
In a statement, Gloucester said: “The board would like to express their thanks to Mike for everything he achieved last season and wish him every success for the future.”
