CHIPPENHAM TOWN recorded their fi rst home win since early September to halt their gradual slide down the table.
Early Chelmsford pressure fashioned a treble of chances but they squandered all three.
And the Bluebirds took the lead with a well-worked goal on 13 minutes, when Luke Haines’ superb pass found Rhys Tyler, whose low cross was slotted home by Dave Pratt.
Curtis McDonald almost doubled the lead two minutes later.
