Syers sparks the Celt Army

GOALS in each half from Dave Syers and Jimmy Spencer secured Farsley Celtic a solid victory against struggling Blyth Spartans.
The Celt Army had the better of a first half where attractive football was at a premium thanks to strong winds and a bobbly pitch.
Mark Waddington looked a threat for Blyth in the opening exchanges, twice heading wide when well placed.
Farsley threatened more and more as the half went on. Syers had a tap-in ruled out for offside before eventually scoring the game’s first goal on 38 minutes. He was put though by...
