CHESTER’S promotion hopes suffered a massive blow as they crashed to a shock defeat at bottom of the table Bradford Park Avenue.
It was a spirited performance from an Avenue side who showed no signs that they had given up on their season, despite starting the day 15 points from safety.
The first goal was always going to be vital giv- en the windy conditions, and it was Avenue who got it on 40 minutes in scruffy circumstances.
