GUISELEY pulled out of the relegation places with a cracking win.
First Guiseley’s Kaine Felix saw an effort well blocked, then the visitors’ Connor Woods put in a cross that just went above a diving George Newell, who looked bound to score.
The Sandgrounders would take the lead through Newell on ten minutes, a looping cross found him unmarked and he placed his header into the bottom-left corner.
The next chance saw the equaliser, a good cross by Felix found Jon Wafula with a free header to make it 1-1.
