MICHAEL Nelson is still relishing the challenge of his first role in management despite seeing his Blyth Spartans side cut adrift at the bottom of the National League North table.
The Croft Park club, out of action yesterday after their north-east derby at Gateshead was postponed due to Covid in the Blyth camp, have registered just one win from their opening 14 games of the season.
That has left them six points from safety as Nelson and assistant manager Michael Barron continue their efforts to improve their squad.
